On October 30th, Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, Special Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic, confirmed that the United States and its Western allies are waging a terrorist war on Syria, stealing its wealth, and imposing illegal economic sanctions on it with the aim of weakening it and targeting its independent decision.
She stressed that they do not read nor learn from history, Syria will continue its steadfastness, and achieve victory after victory, and will not accept the dictates of anyone.
She explained in an interview with the Omani newspaper Atheer, conducted by the journalist ,Musa Al-Fari, that the steadfastness of President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Arab Army, and the love and cohesion of the Syrian people, are the reason for Syria’s steadfastness in the face of the Western conspiracy.
She indicated that the Syrian Arab Army achieved great victories and liberated most of the areas from terrorism, which prompted the United States and Turkey to start their vicious attacks on Syria.
She noted that the war will not stop because the target is Syria’s independent decision, and they impose immoral economic sanctions only to weaken the people.
She indicated that the world today is becoming multipolar because peoples are eager for liberation, upholding human values, and do not accept Western hegemony.
She pointed out that the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the effective role of the Shanghai Organization and the BRICS countries, Russian-Chinese relations, Iranian-Russian-Chinese relations, and blocs in Asia it is on its way to end the hegemony of the West, which is accustomed to plundering the wealth of the people.
With regard to the situation in the Arab world, Shaaban stressed the importance of the belief of the Arab peoples in the unity of destiny, and the formation of unified visions in the face of challenges.
Shaaban expressed Syria’s appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman’s standing by its side, and its thanks to the Omani people, who enjoy humanity and historical wisdom.
She said that Syria and Oman are always one hand in facing the challenges that target the Arab nation.
