On May 23rd, the Special Adviser in the Presidency of the Republic Dr. Buthaina Shaaban said that Syria faced a fierce misleading media terrorist war whose aim was always to turn the facts upside down.
Dr. Shaaban said tha the Syrian Arab Army and the Syrian people were on the same side in the fight against fierce terrorism aimed at destroying state institutions and infrastructure in Syria, its civilization and its identity.
During a dialogue lecture at Damascus University, Dr. Shaaban said that after liberating most of the Syrian lands from terrorism and the agents to whom this war was entrusted to Syria and its people, the original ones, namely Israel, the United States, the colonial and neo-Ottoman countries, occupied the land after their terrorists failed to achieve the tasks entrusted to them.
Dr. Shaaban said that the Americans and the West narrowed the economic grip on the Syrians and prevented them from communicating with neighboring Arab countries by force of arms in another face of the ongoing terrorist war, but this time on the economic front.
Regarding what is happening in Palestine in terms of events, Dr. Shaaban said: “The Zionist enemy failed to break the will of thePalestinians, because the Palestinian gift was distinguished by unity among all sects of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, the territories of the 48 and in the diaspora.”
Dr. Shaban pointed to the formation of a new media in the face of the Zionist and misleading Western media that is trying to obliterate the truth and equality between the aggressor and the aggressed.
Dr. Shaaban said that the enemy’s strategy is based on differentiating between the sons of the same people and the same nation and on dividing them into sects and ethnicities.
Dr. Shaaban pointed out that the statements of American and Western officials that they support the right of “Israel” to defend itself is a matter of pity and disgust.
Dr. Shaaban stressed the priority and importance of liberating areas in northeastern and northwestern Syria, noting that Turkey and Germany prevented the Syrian voters from casting their votes because it would have exposed the falsity of their claims to lip service to democracy.
Dr. Shaaban pointed to the importance of the media and the pivotal role it plays in directing public opinion, and the need to hold training workshops on media skills and communication skills for the young generation in general and university youth in particular.
The meeting called for by the Damascus University branch of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party and the National Union of Syrian Students.
