Shaaban , Miqdad: President Assad’s speech put alternatives for the Declining Arab Reality

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Political and Media Advisor at the Syrian Presidency Dr. Butheina Shaaban stressed that President Bashar al-Assad speech following his constitutional oath has developed alternatives for the declining Arab reality after he diagnosed and spoke frankly and transparency about this reality and the right way to get out of it, sticking to Arabism and values and ethics.

Shaban explained in an interview with al-Mayadeen TV yesterday that ” President al-Assad ‘s speech was a full package of foundations laid for the next phase, locally, regionally and internationally, “ noting that most importantly is to” protect the home and building self-power through dialogue, reconciliation and the fight against corruption, reconstruction and institution- and facility building.”

Shaaban pointed out President al-Assad said since the beginning that the solution to the crisis in Syria is internal among the Syrians and through ongoing dialogue and reconciliation, methods and objects of different places, with the participation of those who are keen to Syria.

Shaaban indicated that the priorities of the next phase are to combat terrorism, restore security and safety to Syria and reconstruction and reviving the economy.

She indicated that there is a real revision in the west of what happened in Syria and the Western attitudes concerning it, “but things do not happen overnight in the sense that the West apologizes for its policy toward Syria,” noting accumulating signs that we should pick up and build on the positive among them.

Shaaban considered that the aggression against Palestine, including the Gaza Strip is an aggression on Syria, which do not change her Arab identity of resistance no matter how circumstances have changed and does not give up the issue of Palestine because it is the issue of the existence and affiliation, noting that President al-Assad pointed out that the terrorist war against Syria is part of the war of terror on Gaza.

Miqdad: President Assad’s speech sparked world’s deep attention

Meantime, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad stressed that July 16th 2014 was a Syrian day with distinction, when President Bashar al-Assad took his constitutional oath for a new presidential term.

In an interview with the Syrian TV yesterday, al-Miqdad said that the Syrians had renewed their confidence in President Assad and that the world history  is being re-written, not just the history of Syria.

Miqdad indicated that President Assad’s speech sparked the worldwide deep attention, pointing out that according to reports arrived in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, persons interested in global policy continued accurately what President Assad stated, who became an international figure par excellence interested in maintaining this world’s security and peace, stressing that lot of world leaders and peoples in solidarity with the Syrian people, because they know that if Syria is eliminated the next step will be addressed to them.

On the request of some Western countries in seeking Syria’s help in fighting terrorism, al-Miqdad said that, in principle, Syria is prepared to cooperate in the fight against terrorism with all countries of the world, noting that coordination in the fight against terrorism should be of a comprehensive nature, covering political relations and diplomatic and political coordination because victory will not be achieved over terrorism without the use of all these elements that lead to real coordination and get the results credible at the end of this process.

He stressed that the aggression on Syria comes in the framework of the conspiracy on the Palestinian issue, pointing out that whatever threatens the Arab nation comes from “Israel”, which is still seeking through its international alliances to pressure the Arab countries.

“ Syria supports the Palestinian people’s struggle against the Israeli occupier in different ways, including the killing of its hirelings on the Syrian arena because if these hirelings succeeded, their first alliance will be with “Israel”, stressing that Syria will be victorious in the battle being waged against terrorism for the interest of the Palestinian people, and will continue supporting resistance in the region at all levels in the struggle against the Zionist entity.” Miqdad underscored.
