Shaaban discusses with Abdullahian coordination to serve the strategic relations of Syria and Iran

On January 21st, Dr. Buthaina Shaaban, Special Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic, discussed with Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Iranian Foreign Minister, joint coordination between the two countries to serve their strategic relations, and the regional and international situation.

Dr. Shaaban conveyed the greetings and love of President Bashar al-Assad to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ibrahim Raisi.

In turn, Abdollahian thanked Dr. Shaaban for accepting the Iranian invitation and her presence, represented by First Lady Asma al-Assad, at the first international conference of influential women.

Abdollahian expressed his happiness at his recent meeting with President Bashar al-Assad, and Iran’s willingness to always be active in any matter that serves the interest of Syria and its sovereignty. Abdullahian stressed that the Iranian and Syrian interests are the same, and that the two countries face common challenges, and therefore their concerted efforts will be in the service and interest of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the Syrian ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub.
