SFA confirms participation in Asian Games

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Syrian Football Association has confirmed the national team’s participation in the Asian games due to be staged in South Korea in September.

The team will be under the supervision of the national coach Ahmad Sha’ar.

The SFA, in its last meeting, also confirmed the Olympic team’s participation in the 2016 Asia Championship Olympic Games qualifiers due to be hosted by the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.

In another development, the SFA has apologized for non-participation in the 5th West Asia Championship for women.
