Several US-backed SDF militants killed and injured in separate attacks in the countryside of Hasakah and Deir Ezzor

A number of militants, affiliated to the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia, were killed and some others were injured in machinegun attacks that targeted their positions in the countryside of Hasakah and Deir Ezzor.

Attacks have intensified on the militia’s positions and axes of movement over the past period.

According to local sources, an SDF militant was killed when gunmen shot at him directly in the Al-Kwashiyeh village in Markada area.

The sources added that another militant was shot dead in Abu Hamam village, to the east of Deir Ezzor.

Over the past months, the village of Abu Hamam witnessed several demonstrations in protest against the SDF militia and the US occupation’s acts of looting the Syrian oil and against the militia’s crimes of kidnapping youths to recruit them within its ranks.

On Wednesday, the SDF militia kidnapped several civilians, including young men from Al-Tayyaneh town, Al-Howl Camp and Tal Hamis area in Hasaka and in the vicinity of Kasret Afnan village, to the south of Raqqa.
