Several activities held in Daraa, Lattakia, Homs, Quneitra, Tartous to mark the 48th anniversary of the October Liberation War

PROVINCES, (ST)_On the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the October Liberation War, several activities were held on Tuesday in the provinces of Daraa, Lattakia, Quneitra, Homs and Tartous. 
 
According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), a popular celebration and exhibition were held at Al-Bath Hall in Daraa province where paintings and carvings depicting the remnants of rockets and bullets that were left behind by the war were shown.
 
Speeches were also delivered in the celebration and they focused on the fact that the October Liberation War will remain an example of Peoples’ victories in confronting all forms of occupation. 
 
They pointed out that Daraa has witnessed a new victory over the conspiracy that was hatched against the country.
 
In Lattakia, the pupils of the Martyr “Mansor Nasor” School visited the tombs of Martyrs in Besnada area to shed light on the sacrifices of martyrs and the importance of the October Liberation War as well as to consolidate the values of the belongingness to homeland. 
 
In Quneitra, a celebration was held by the Social Baath Arab Party (SBAP) at Al-Golan House for Culture were the speakers expressed their pride of the victories achieved by the Syrian army over terror war that was waged against the country. 
 
The speakers in addition asserted that the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan will be liberated, saluting the people of Majdal Shams, Beqaatha, Mas-‘adah and Ein Qnayah, who challenge the policies of the Zionist occupation against them.  
 
In Homs, the memorial monument of martyrs was opened at the western entrance of Al-Makhram Al-Foqani city to honor the martyrs of the Syrian army in the city. 
 
An initiative launched by the people of the city involved writing the martyrs names on a monument .
 
In Tartous, the speakers in the celebration that was held at the cultural center talked about the meaning of the October Liberation War. 
 
Five soldiers of the Syrian army were honored in the celebration.
