Seven Palestinians martyred as a result of the occupation forces’ attacks on Jenin and Al-Bireh

Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Seven Palestinians were so far killed and dozens injured, many of them critically, in the ongoing large-scale Israeli air and land assault on the northern West Bank city of Jenin, according to medical and local sources.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health and Jenin hospitals said in their latest update on the Palestinian casualties of the Israeli assault that seven Palestinians were killed, three of them killed in airstrikes, while the number is expected to rise in light of the many who were critically wounded in the assault.

Four of those killed were identified as Samih Firas Abu al-Wafa, Husam Mohammad Abu Deibeh, and Aws al-Hanoun, all three were shot in the chest, and Nour Eddin Husam Marshoud, was shot in the head.

Another Palestinian was also martyred in Israeli gunfire at the northern entrance of Al-Bireh city.

The occupation forces also stormed, with several military vehicles, accompanied by bulldozers, into the city of Jenin from several axes, surrounded the Jenin camp, cut off the roads linking the city and the camp, and seized a number of houses overlooking the camp, deployed snipers on their roofs, and cut off the electricity supply to large parts of the area.

WAFA agency added: The occupation forces, which surrounded the camp from various sides, prevented ambulances from entering it to transport the injured to receive treatment, and the skies of Jenin and its camp continue to witness an intense flight of Israeli occupation planes.

The number of Palestinians who have been killed since the beginning of this year reached 185.
