The Israeli settlers on Saturday stormed the village of Qaryut, south of the West Bank city of Nablus.
WAFA news agency reported that the settlers attacked the Palestinians’ houses and properties in the village.
Earlier on Saturday, a group of settlers seized Palestinian lands in Bayaret Saud area, to the east of Tubas city in the northern Jordan Valley with the aim of establishing a settlement outpost. Palestinian residents called for popular activities to prevent the settlers from setting up an illegal settlement on this land.
Meantime, settlers, backed by the Israeli occupation forces, attacked the staff of the Land Settlement Authority while working in Um al-Shaqhan area to the east of Yatta, south of the West Bank city of Al-Khalil.
Coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committees in Masafer Yatta Fouad al-Amour told WAFA that settlers from the nearby settlement of Avigal, built illegally on Um al-Shaqhan land, pelted the staff with rocks and confiscated their global positioning system (GPS) device.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Meanwhile in Ramallah, a Palestinian teenager who was shot and critically wounded yesterday by Israeli soldiers in the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, has died of his wounds hours later, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The ministry said that Mohammad Munir Tamimi, 17, was shot in the stomach and critically wounded when an Israeli army foot patrol opened fire at youth in the village.
Tamimi was rushed to hospital in nearby Salfit city and underwent surgery after he was diagnosed highly critical.
