Israeli settlers on Saturday set fire to agricultural land in the village of Burin, south of the West Bank city of Nablus, and attacked houses, according to the head of Burin village council Ibrahim Omran.
He told WAFA news agency that the settlers stormed into the village and set fire to large areas of cultivated land east of the village causing heavy damage to crops.
The settlers also prevented the Palestinian civil defense and firefighters from reaching the area to put off the fire, which was still raging hours later.
Occupation attacks Palestinian fishermen in Gaza
Meanwhile in Gaza, the Israeli naval forces attacked Palestinian fishermen by opening their machinegun fire on their boats off Al-Sudaniya area, northwest of Gaza strip, forcing them to leave the sea.
Yesterday, the occupation naval forces attacked the Palestinian fishermen off Al-Waha area, north of the strip.
Dozens of Palestinians injured in Israeli attack on anti-settlement expansion demonstration
In another development, tens of Palestinians were injured in an attack by Israeli occupation forces on demonstrators protesting against the Israeli plan to take over 600 dunums of their land in the town of Tarqumiya, west of the West Bank city of Al-Khalil
According to Suleiman Jaafreh, an activist in the Defense of Land Committee, the occupation forces opened fire and fired sound and gas bombs on demonstrators, injuring and causing suffocation to tens of them.
A photo journalist was also injured and three young men were detained, Jaafreh added.
