Israeli settlers escalate violence against the Palestinians in the West Bank to displace them

The Israeli settlers have escalated their violence against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories with the aim of displacing the Palestinians and seizing and judaizing their areas amid the complete silence and inaction of the international community which ignores all the calls for providing international protection to the Palestinian people and for including the settlers on the list of terrorism.

In its weekly report published on Saturday, the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s (PLO) National Bureau for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlements, said that the settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, have escalated their attacks on the Palestinians and their lands, particularly in occupied Al-Quds , Nablus, Al-Khalil and the Northern Jordan Valley in the West Bank.

According to the report, the settlers stormed Al-Sawwana neighborhood in occupied Al-Quds and carried out provocative tours in Palestinians’ lands that are planned to be seized by the occupation for establishing of a new settlement outpost that aims at completely closing the eastern area of Al-Quds and besieging the towns of Anata, Al-Tur and Hizma in order to deprive the Palestinians from and future building activities.

The settler gangs stormed the towns of Sebastia, Burqa and Al-Laban Al-Sharqiya in Nablus and attacked the Palestinians and their property. They fired bullets and gas bombs, injuring 58 Palestinians and causing suffocation to 200 others. The attacks resulted in material damage to properties and cutting down 116 olive trees, including 70 perennial trees, the report said.

The report pointed out that hundreds of settlers also stormed into the villages of Khillet Al-Dabe’, Al-Majaz, Al-Tabban, Maghayer Al-Abeed, Safi Al-Tahta and Safi Al-Fouqa in Al-Khalil and attacked the Palestinians’ properties.

The settlers also seized 50 dunums of land east of Yatta town with the aim of establishing a settlement road that connects two settlements already built in the vicinity of the town, the report said.

It went on to say that a group of settlers closed the entrance of the town of Singel, north of Ramallah, and stormed into the Palestinians’ agricultural lands, west of Salfit, and uprooted 80 olive trees and stole them.
