Dozens of extremist Israeli settlers on Wednesday stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation forces.
The settlers stormed into the mosque from the direction of Bab Al-Magharbeh and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards under heavy protection by the Israeli occupation forces, WAFA News Agency reported.
The agency added that the occupation forces detained Najeh Bkeirat, the Deputy Director of Awqaf (Islamic Endowments) in Al-Quds from the Bab Al-Silsleh area in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The occupation forces also detained a teacher while she was exiting the Mosque through Bab Al-Asbat after completing her prayers.
The Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque daily amid heavy security measures by the occupation with the aim of controlling and judaizing the mosque within the framework of the occupation’s scheme of Judiazing the entire city of Al-Quds.
