Serbian President reaffirms his country’s support for Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic affirmed that his country attaches great importance to relations with Syria, indicating that Serbia will always maintain its position that calls for the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

The Serbian President, while accepting the credentials of Ambassador Muhammad Haj Ibrahim as Syria’s ambassador to Serbia, expressed his hope that Syria will overcome the difficulties it is going through and embark on the path of recovery and prosperity. He also hoped that Syria will return to exercise its important role in the region and the world.

In turn, Ambassador Haj Ibrahim conveyed to President Vucic the greetings of President Bashar Al-Assad and his congratulations on his party’s victory in the parliamentary elections that took place last December.

Haj Ibrahim affirmed Syria’s clear position regarding Kosovo being an integral part of the Serbian territory, and its support for Serbia’s sovereignty and independence.
