September 18, 2022 set as date for holding local councils elections

On Aug 3, 2022

President Bashar Al-Assad on Wednesday issued decree No. 216 for the year 2022, setting September 18, 2022, as the date for holding elections to select members of the local councils.

The decree was issued based on the provisions of the Local Administration Law issued by Legislative Decree No. 107, and on the provisions of the General Election Law No. 5.
