Senior MP Voices Iran’s Support for Syria

Head of Majlis (Iranian parliament) Councils and Internal Affairs Commission Amir Khojasteh in a meeting with Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi reaffirmed Iran’s support for resistance axis of Syria.

‘The Islamic Republic of Iran supports the resistance axis in Syria wholeheartedly,’ Khojasteh said during the meeting in Damascus on Sunday.

‘If the negotiations and the Syrian-Syrian talks do not bear results, Syria’s fate will be determined in the battlefield,’ he added.

The Iranian lawmaker said that today Syria is a powerful country because it is on war with the global arrogance led by the US and the Zionists.

Khojasteh said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will support the resistance axis in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon with all its power.

The Syrian prime minister, for his part, thanked Iran’s assistance, especially the supports by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
