Damascus (ST): The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Writers and Head of the Egyptian Writers Union Alaa Abdel Hadi described his presence and his colleagues in Syria in the context of the meeting of the General Secretariat of the Union of Arab Writers and Writers as historic, adding: “Syria is not only a meeting place, but 13 unions came to support its unity and resistance and to emphasize the constants of conscience And Arab solidarity, especially the fight against normalization with the Zionist entity.”
In a statement, Abdel-Hadi pointed out that the meeting will not stop at issuing a statement, denunciation and condemnation, but will proceed to the implementation stages, the most important of which is setting mechanisms and plans for joint publication and interaction between Arab intellectuals in all countries on these issues, in addition to issuing a book documenting the history of the Arab Writers Union.
Abd al-Hadi considered that the positions of Arab writers and intellectuals in support of Syria and the resistance in it and in all Arab countries are the natural and correct things.
