Second Batch of Czech Aid Arrives in Damascus

DAMASCUS-A Czech plane carrying medical assistance arrived in Damascus international airport on Tuesday. The assistance is offered by the Czech Red Cross to the Syrian Red Crescent organization as a second batch of the Czech medical and food aid to Syria, according to SANA.

Ayman Sousan, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, welcomed the Czech friends who arrived onboard the plane to support the efforts of the Syrian government in easing the suffering of the Syrians from terrorism.

Sousan appreciated the Czech government’s objective and balanced stances towards what is going on in Syria. He hailed the stance of the Czech republic on the unilateral, unfair and coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people.

For his part, Director of the Middle East Department at the Czech Foreign Ministry Pavel Klutzky thanked the Syrian and Czech officials who ensured the arrival of the second cargo of the relief aid to be distributed to the Syrian people in need.

He affirmed his country’s support to the UN resolutions, particularly resolution No. 2254 that calls for keeping Syria safe and stable.
