SDF militia raids towns, abducts civilians, set up new checkpoints in northeast Syria

HASAKA, (ST)_Over the past hours, the ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ militia [ Its Arabic acronym is QASAD] has raided Raes al-Ein city in the northern countryside of Hasaka, al-Jasemi town in the northeastern countryside of Der Ezzour , Ein Issa town in the northern countryside of Raqqa and Manbej city in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo.

The raids resulted in abducting many civilians and taking them to unknown place to join the compulsory service to support SDF militia, according to local sources.

The sources affirmed that burglaries and looting operations have increased in SDF-held areas where several member of the separatist militia were killed and injured when unknown persons fired RPG rocket on one of the SDF checkpoints at Fatseh town in the northern countryside of Raqqa.

Further SDF militia’s members were killed and injured in the blast of three explosive devices that were planted by unknown persons at the northern entrance of Shdadi city in the southern countryside of Hasaka and in Keshkeyeh town in the southeastern countryside of Der Ezzour as well as near Sho’eb town in the northern countryside of Raqqa.

The SDF militia set up additional military checkpoints at main roads and entrances of towns and villages with the support of the U.S. occupation forces.
