SDF militia kidnaps civilians from Al-Hussan and Al-Jeneina in Deir Ezzor countryside

Armed groups of the US-backed SDF militia kidnapped a number of civilians during their raid on the towns of Al-Hussan and Al-Jeneina in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Civil sources told a SANA reporter that armed groups of the SDF carried out a raid and search campaign for a number of citizens’ homes in the towns of Al-Hussan and Al-Jeneina in Deir Ezzor countryside, after which they kidnapped a number of civilians and took them to an unknown destination.

 

The sources pointed out that the raids were accompanied by heavy and indiscriminate shooting from militia gunmen to intimidate and disperse a number of people who had gathered and tried to confront the gunmen.

Last Monday, armed groups affiliated with the SDF stormed the town of Al-Sha’fa in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor,. They kidnapped a number of residents, including young men, and took them to an unknown destination, while they took the young men to camps for forced recruitment to force them to fight in their ranks.
