Damascus (ST): The Syrian collective art exhibition, which was held by the Syrian Honorary Consulate in Kiev in cooperation with the leadership of the Syrian community, was very popular with the Syrian public residing in Kiev and Ukrainian art lovers.
Sculptor Afif Agha, the supervisor of the exhibition held on the occasion of the Syrian Arab Army Day, said : “Through the exhibition, which included the works of elite Syrian artists, we wanted to convey the true image of Syrian culture and civilization to the countries of the world through Ukraine to be a message of love and peace and to correct the stereotype and the melancholy propagated by the anti-Syrian media.
Agha explained that the works participating in the exhibition carried the spirit of legend in Syria and the pulse of the contemporary Syrian man with sincerity and spontaneity. It was a message of defiance of siege and injustice through art and beauty, and gave hope for the return of our country to its glory before the war, while emphasizing its ancient civilizational and cultural affiliation that loves peace and humanity.
Agha participated in the exhibition with a sculptural work representing a man and a woman embodying the challenge, self-esteem and patience of the Syrian human being in the face of terrorism, siege and injustice by the claimants of humanity and advocates of human rights.
