Scores of Palestinians injured as a result of the occupation’s suppression of a demonstration in Hebron
Occupied Jerusalem (ST): Dozens of Palestinians were injured today as the Israeli occupation forces suppressed a demonstration condemning the expansion of a military checkpoint at the entrance to Al-Shuhada Street in Bab Al-Zawiya in the center of Hebron in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Wafa Agency stated that the occupation forces fired poison gas canisters at the participants in the demonstration in Bab Al-Zawiya, causing dozens of suffocation cases.
Yesterday, the occupation forces expanded the perimeter of the military checkpoint by moving 50 meters of concrete cubes towards Bab Al-Zawiya area in order to increase the suffering of the Palestinians and tighten the noose around them in the area, which represents a commercial center frequented by thousands from inside Hebron and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.
