Scores of Palestinians call for the release of cancer-stricken Palestinian prisoner Ahmad Obied from Israeli jails

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)_Scores of Palestinians participated on Monday in a solidarity stand with the Palestinian prisoners held in the Israeli jails, calling on the international community to press the Israeli authorities to release them including the cancer- stricken prisoner Ahmad Obied.  

According to WAFA, the Palestinians gathered outside the office of the Red Cross and raised the photo of the prisoner Ahmad Obied, whose family has been prevented from visiting him since three years.

The Palestinian prisoners are subjected to ill-treatment, deliberate medical negligence and physical and verbal abuse, media reports affirm.

There are 4,600 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails,  including 1,800 sick prisoners who are in need of sustained medical attention.
