Scores of gunmen surrender to Army

PROVINCES, (ST)– Some 200 gunmen from the so-called “free army” and” jabhat nusra” surrendered to the Syrian Arab army in Barzeh district in Damascus, a military source told the state-run news agency.

“they[the gunmen] laid down their weapons as units of the armed forces entered the district .And the army also dismantled many explosive devices that had been planted near the citizens’ houses, “confirmed the source.

 Meanwhile, units of the armed forces on Sunday continued their daring operations nationwide ,killing scores of terrorists and destroyed  their weapons .

Units of the armed forces carried out operations against terrorists’ dens and groupings in the areas surrounding the sugar factory in Adra al-Balad,Joubar,Qaboun,Yalda,Mleiha,Baeit Saham , al-Zoumrani and al-Sheikh Ali valleys in the mountains of Qara town ,Daraya and Zabadani in  Damascus and its Countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

In another development, an army unit foiled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate from al-Bayader area in Maaloula to Ein al-Teneh town , killing and inuring most of terrorists.

Elsewhere, an army unit killed ten terrorists, some of them belong to the so-called “Al-Moutaz Bellah Battalion”, in Atman town in Daraa countryside, destroying a number of cars with all terrorists and weapons inside,according to a military source.
