Sayyed Nasrallah: The third version of the American project is based on tightening sanctions, as happened in Syria

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, confirmed that the third version of the American project in the region is based on tightening the blockade and economic sanctions, as happened in Syria, where Washington imposed the sanctions after the failure of its military war against the country.
In a statement on Thursday, Nasrallah said that the West has returned to proxy wars, as it is the case in Ukraine, and it has been concentrating on sanctions and economic pressure, pointing out that the United States doesn’t want any strong country in the region.
Concerning the situation in Lebanon, Nasrallah said that the economic situation in Lebanon is very difficult, but the Lebanese people will be able to overcome the crisis, stressing that finding a solution to the living condition is the responsibility of the state and the society.

Nasrallah went on to say that today, Lebanon is a safe country, because “Israel” doesn’t dare to attack it, thanks to the army, people and resistance equation.

The blockade on Lebanon has not been embodied in placing a battleship off the Lebanese shores, but in preventing aid delivery and loans from abroad, preventing the state from accepting grants, hindering investments and undermining efforts aiming at returning the Syrian refugees to their homeland.

Regarding choosing a Lebanese President, Nasrallah said that Lebanon needs a brave President who is ready to sacrifice and who doesn’t fear from any US threats.
