Sayyed Nasrallah: The resistance will remain ready, waiting for an official position on the demarcation
Beirut (ST): The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, affirmed that the resistance faces decisive hours in the matter of demarcating the Lebanese maritime borders and extracting oil and gas, and that it will remain fully prepared, awaiting the announcement of an official position.
Sayyed Nasrallah said in a speech at a festival on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday, which was reported by Al-Manar TV: “When the Lebanese president announces the position in favor of the agreement, matters regarding the resistance will be accomplished,” noting that at the moment when the delegations go to sign in Naqoura with the agreed-upon mechanism, it can be said there is an agreement or an understanding.
Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that the resistance will remain ready and vigil until it sees with its own eyes that the understanding has occurred and “after the understanding is another day,” especially since there are contradictory statements in the enemy entity and sharp divisions.
Nasrallah stressed that the Israeli enemy fears war more than the Lebanese, and that all that matters to the resistance is extracting oil and gas from the Lebanese fields, and that the agreement fulfills the official demands of the Lebanese state, pointing out that after the issue of the marches, there was no need to send others or conduct maneuvers, because the goal was to make the enemy understand that the resistance is serious about its threats.
Nasrallah called on the Lebanese to approach this understanding in the spirit of national responsibility required to judge it positively and negatively, after publishing the final text of it, and to proceed from a patriotic spirit and not from settling accounts, especially since there are those who hold the resistance responsible for lines that have nothing to do with it. He said: “For us in the resistance, our sea extends to Gaza, and when Palestine is liberated, we will not disagree with our Palestinian brothers on our maritime borders.”
