Saudi war crimes in Yemen

It is regrettable that Saudi Arabia and the so-called Arab coalition remained unused and inoperative for decades of Israeli occupation of the Arab territories. Suddenly, Al Saud decided to launch unfair war against Yemen urged by the US and Israel in implementation of the Zionist project in the region which aims at fragmenting the Arab states and instigating inter-Arab wars that serve the Zionist and colonialist projects and achieve their sinister political and economic objectives.

The main problem with the Saudi regime is that it treats other Arab people as if they were mere subjects. The Saudi regime and intelligence agencies are responsible for sending ISIS terrorists to Syria and Iraq, funding and arming these terrorists to destroy the two states. The Saudis are also working to prevent a political solution in Syria and persist in the complicity to the killing of its people through offering unlimited financial and military support to the armed takfiri terrorist groups operating in Syria.

The true motivation behind the Saudi aggression on Yemen is the desire of Al Saud to dominate and subjugate it after they failed and lost any control over it, as they sensed that it now belongs to sovereign forces that cannot be dominated. The military aggression is an act of vicious brutality by the Al Saud family in an attempt to maintain its hold on power.

The Saudi aggression is an irresponsible disregard for the Arab national security and the sovereignty of an Arab country. It is a gross violation of the Arab fraternal ties and international law. Respecting Yemen’s sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity should not be ignored.

The Gulf warplanes, led by Saudi regime, launched an air assault on several civilian and military positions in Yemen, claiming the lives of many civilians, including women and children.

Dialogue among the Yemeni parties should be conducted to reach a political solution that meets the will and aspirations of the Yemeni people. The Yemenis should return to the negotiating table without foreign interference and find national solutions that preserve Yemen’s unity, independence and territorial integrity.

It’s the right of the Yemeni people to defend themselves. The Arab states that took part in the raids on Yemen remained idle throughout decades of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian and Arab people, and didn’t take the slightest action to stop Israel’s aggression.

Thousands of people have staged demonstrations in different countries in protest against the ongoing Saudi military aggression against Yemen. The demonstrators demanded an end to the Saudi onslaught on the impoverished Arab country. The marchers carried banners reading “Shame on Al Saud” and “We denounce the occupiers,” and chanted slogans in condemnation of Riyadh’s airstrikes against Yemen. They also called upon international organizations to immediately intervene and stop the Saudi airstrikes.

At least 700 people, including women and children, have so far lost their lives in three weeks of violence in Yemen. About 1,700 people have been also wounded in the Saudi strikes against the country.  90 children were among the victims of the violence. Saudi Arabia is certainly committing a war crime against Yemen. The Saudis want to manipulate Yemen and keep it under their control.

The Saudi military strikes on Yemen can have serious consequences for the entire Middle East and the Muslim world. The move to launch the military campaign against the Arab country is a strategic mistake. It is unacceptable that Saudi Arabia is attacking the infrastructure and people of Yemen, and unfortunately, the consequences of this Saudi move will be to the detriment of the region and the Islamic world.

Al Saud has established a totalitarian regime and there is absolutely no limit to what it will do for its self-preservation. They have no genuine support among their own people.

The Saudi aggression is a violation of the UN Charter, per se a war crime. The UN Security Council should demand an end to the Saudi war on Yemen. The political problems in Yemen have to be resolved through conducting dialogue among the Yemeni people themselves.
