Saudi terrorists flee to Lebanon
Four years after the so-called Arab spring, it has become very clear that this sinister project was concocted by the US, Israel and their Western allies to achieve their political and economic interests in the region and perpetuate the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories. We should not be blind to the fact that there is a project to destroy Syria’s rich, pluralist and unbelievably intricate culture and replace it with a deadly version of Wahhabism, the kind favoured by Al Saud, Israel and the US to facilitate Israel’s domination of Syria and the region as a whole politically and economically.
It is extremely contradictory for the US officials to talk about peaceful solution to crisis in Syria and at the same time deliver advanced weapons to terrorist groups operating in Syria. In fact, such a move would thwart any political solution to the crisis in the country and destabilize the situation in the country. Washington’s move was contradictory to claims that the US is committed to a political solution to the crisis in Syria through dialogue.
The Western powers and their regional tools especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are supporting the terrorists operating inside Syria. Dozens of Saudi terrorists fighting in Syria have surrendered themselves to the Saudi Embassy in Lebanon in order to be sent back home. The terrorists fled to Lebanon after the Syrian army took control of the strategic al-Qalamoun region following a fierce battle. The terrorists had been fighting for the al-Qaeda-linked group al-Nusra Front. The Saudi Embassy has reportedly asked the Lebanese authorities to facilitate the entry of any Saudi national escaping into Lebanon from Syria.
From the very beginning of the crisis, the Syrian government has complained several times to the United Nations about Saudi Arabia’s evil role in supporting foreign-backed terrorists operating in the country. The Saudi regime promotes extremism in the region and continues to fan the flames of turmoil in Syria through offering unlimited financial and military support for terrorist groups. Takfiri terrorists are destroying Syria’s infrastructure as part of Saudi Arabia’s agenda to destroy Syria. Aal-Nusra Takfiri terrorist group and other al-Qa’eda linked groups has embarked on destroying public and service structures, including hospitals, bridges and roads. The reason for this is that they really wanted to destroy the entire country as part of an ultimate plan that Saudi Arabia has to destroy the country and entice civil war on sectarian basis.
More than three years of foreign-backed militancy have devastated Syria, destroying infrastructure and reducing some neighbourhoods to ruins in implementation of the Zionist project that aims to weaken Syria, the heart of the resistance axis in the region and enable Israel to invade the Arab region politically and economically.
The international community realized that it has to trust the Syrian state, not terrorists whose only objective is to destroy the country and shed the blood of Syrian people. The Israeli regime blatantly bombarded sites in Damascus countryside, Quneitra, and other areas, and terrorist groups fighting the Syrian state were found to be using Israeli weapons. Moreover, many terrorists were treated in Israeli hospitals and trained by Israeli officers.
Realizing peace and counterterrorism are top political priority for solving the crisis in Syria. For this reason, all kinds of support for terrorists should be halted to pave the way for a political solution of the crisis. History will judge the US, Britain and the West very severely for aiding terrorists in Syria to destroy Syria and shed the blood of Syrian people. The foreign-backed terrorists in Syria are criminals and smugglers, who can be bought by millions of dollars streamlined by Saudi Arabia and other petro-dollar states.
The Syrian Arab Army’s regaining the villages of Maaloula, al-Sarkha and al-Jebeh in al-Qalamoon area in Damascus Countryside indicates the collapse of the terrorist takfiri-Zionist integral project. The army’s victories are evidence on the victory of the axis of dignity, sovereignty and commitment to the land, people and the resistance option.
