Saudi statement regarding the reception of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara in Riyadh:

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received today at his office in Riyadh the Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa.

At the beginning of the reception, His Royal Highness expressed his congratulations to President Al-Sharaa on assuming the presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic, wishing him success in achieving the hopes and aspirations of the Syrian people.

In turn, President Al-Sharaa expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his sincere feelings and for the Kingdom’s stance toward the Syrian Arab Republic and the Syrian people. During the reception, developments in Syria were discussed, along with ways to support the security and stability of the sisterly nation of Syria.

The two sides also discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and opportunities to enhance them in various fields, as well as reviewing developments in the regional situation and the efforts being made in that regard.
