“The Syrian people have immense capabilities, and this gives us the opportunity to help Syria move in a positive direction,” the Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said in a statement at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
He added : “We all need to extend a helping hand to Syria because the new administration has inherited a heavy legacy.”
“We have noticed the willingness of the New Administration in Syria to interact with partners in the region and with the international community,” he pointed out.
He noted that sanctions on Syria pose a huge burden on the country.
