Saturday May 27th First Day of Ramadan

DAMASCUS- First Sharia Judge of Damascus Mohammad al-Ma’arawi announced on Friday evening that Saturday May 27th is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, SANA reported.

On this occasion, President Bashar al-Assad received congratulatory cables from al-Ma’arawi, Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Mohammad Abdelsattar al-Sayyed, Justice Minister Misham al-Sha’ar, and Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun.

 

The cables offered best wishes for President al-Assad and the Arab and Islamic nations, praying for Syria to remain impregnable in the face of its enemies and for peace and security to prevail in it.
