SARC receives wheelchairs for persons with disabilities presented by the Kazakh Al-Farabi Institution

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) on Saturday received a batch of wheelchairs for persons with disabilities. The aid batch was provided by the Kazakhstan’s Al-Farabi World Heritage Institution.

The wheelchairs, which are of different sizes to suit different age categories, were transported by the Russian airlines to Hmeimim airbase in Syria., according to director of SARC’s media department Rahaf Abboud.

In a statement to SANA during the delivery of the wheelchairs, Abboud said that Al-Farabi institution has provided several kinds of humanitarian aid to Syria and has played an important role in sending humanitarian assistance to people affected by Syria earthquake in February 2023.

She affirmed the wheelchairs will help facilitate the movement of people with disability during their daily life.
