SARC receives 350 tons of aid provided by the Iraqi government

On March 18th, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) received 350 tons of food, relief and medical aid provided by the Iraqi government to those affected by the earthquake.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society said in a statement: 350 tons of food and relief aid, including 16 tons of emergency and medical materials,  were transported by 31 trucks to Syria.

The Society added: “The aid included blankets, shelter tents, foodstuffs, medical and first aid materials, and personal and household hygiene supplies.”

It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Red Crescent Society has sent more than 140 tons of humanitarian aid since the earthquake disaster to Syria to alleviate the suffering of those affected.
