SARC in al-Hasakah distributes aid to displaced families

On January 30th, the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) Organization in Al-Hasakah distributed relief aid and food hampers to the families that hosted displaced families from the southern neighborhoods of Al-Hasakah city

During the past few days, big numbers of families were enforced to leave their homes in southern districts in the city of Hasakah as a result of the clashes that took place between the SDF militias and the (ISIS) organization in the Industrial Secondary Prison. 

 

Ali Mansour, head of the organization’s branch, confirmed the continuation of the distribution operations targeting the families hosting the displaced residents of the neighborhoods of Ghweran, Al-Zohour and Al-Laila

Mansour said that the distribution of food aid comes as a continuation of the relief aid provided by the organization’s branch during the past week to the people. The organization’s branch also providedambulance services, transported the elderly and patients to temporary shelter centers and provided necessities of the centers to alleviate the suffering of the people as a result of displacement from their homes and help them to return to them.

According to the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, the number of displaced families from the neighborhoods of GhuweranZohourand Laila as a result of the clashes and chaos that occurred in the vicinity of the Industrial Secondary Prison reached more than 4,000 families and the number of temporary shelters for them reached 7 centers.
