Sabbagh: The terrorist war against Syria aims to undermine its positions

Parliament Speaker Hamouda Sabbagh affirmed that the terrorist war against Syria aimed at undermining its steadfast stances in support of the struggle of the Palestinian Arab people and their legitimate right to regain their lands and build their independent state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.

During his meeting today with the Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Jamil Mezher, and his accompanying delegation, Sabbagh said: The unipolar policy in the world has ended on Syrian soil thanks to the steadfastness of its people and the sacrifices of its valiant army. He stressed  that the struggle continues until the final victory over terrorism and the liberation of the entire Syrian soil.

For his part, Mezher stated that Syria, with its weight and great value, was and still is the first supporter of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian right, despite all the conspiracies it was exposed to. The victory in the end will be the ally of the two brotherly countries, he added, noting that the legendary steadfastness of the Syrian people played pivotal role in strengthening the determination of the Palestinian people to face the Israeli occupation.
