Sabbagh: the importance of strengthening and developing parliamentary relations between Syria and Mauritania

Speaker of the People’s Assembly(Parliament) Hamouda Sabbagh has stressed the importance of strengthening and developing parliamentary relations between Syria and Mauritania

During his meeting today with the Mauritanian Ambassador in Damascus OuldOuld Ahmedou on June 29,  Sabbagh expressed his thanks to Ahmedou for his stand by the Syrian people since the beginning of the global war on Syria.

 

For his part, the Mauritanian Ambassador pointed out the importance of continued communication and coordination with the Syrian-Mauritanian Friendship  Committee in the People’s Assembly in the interest of the two brotherly countries, expressing his certainty that Syria will return better than it was and achieve  the final victory against terrorism.

The meeting was attended by a number of members of the People’s Assembly.

On June 28, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates held a farewell party for the Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritania in Damascus on the occasion of the end of his duties as his country’s ambassador to Syria.
