Sabbagh: The forces of evil and aggression, led by the United States, support and protect terrorism

Damascus (ST): People’s Assembly Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh, during his meeting  with the Vice-Chairman of the Iranian-Syrian Friendship Committee in the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly Abbas Kelro and the accompanying delegation stressed the importance of strengthening parliamentary relations between the two friendly countries and developing them through exchanging visits, views, opinions and joint coordination in regional and international conferences.

 Sabbagh pointed out that the forces of evil and global aggression, led by the United States, are besieging Syria and Iran together under false and misleading headlines, claiming that they are fighting terrorism, while in fact, they are the ones who feed, motivate and protect it.

Sabbagh expressed the Syrian people’s pride and high appreciation for the sacrifices made by the Islamic Republic of Iran in defense of Syria’s unity, sovereignty and dignity.

For his part, Kelro indicated that the visit of the delegation of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly to Syria comes with the aim of strengthening parliamentary cooperation and various aspects of bilateral relations, overcoming obstacles to their development and employing the available capabilities to push them forward.He expressed his aspiration to accomplish advanced steps that enable  the friendship committees in both friendly countries to play a role model for the rest of the committees.
