Sabbagh: The constant grave violations against the people in Gaza proves the Israeli entity’s organized terrorism
Speaker of the Syrian People’s Assembly Hammouda Sabbagh has affirmed that the defenseless Palestinian people, over more than 75 years, have experienced the bitterness of killing and displacement by the Israeli occupation that lacks the minimum level of human feeling.
During the extra ordinary meeting of the Palestine Committee at the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC), held in Tehran today with the participation of Syria, Sabbagh said: “The tragedies that we see daily in the photos of the martyrs, the wounded, and the great destruction carried out by the occupying entity clearly indicate the malicious tools that aim to forcibly displace our people in Gaza from their homes in a clear violation of international law and the principles and purposes of the United Nations.”
Sabbagh added “The ongoing violations against the people in Gaza reflect the occupation’s organized terrorism being practiced under the sight of the international community, which remains silent without making any initiative to stop the killing and destruction.”
Sabbagh hailed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of one of the most racist entities in history, noting that this steadfastness affirms that this people has adopted resistance as the option to achieve victory.
Sabbagh also said that the global war waged by the forces of evil and global terrorism on Syria over the past 13 years, as well as the unfair blockade imposed on the Syrian people in all walks of life and the Israeli enemy’s attempts to expand its aggression through repeated attacks on Syrian territories, was caused by Syria’s adherence to its national principles and values, particularly its commitment to the Palestinian cause and its firm position on not bargaining on Syria’s legitimate right to restore all the usurped Arab lands in the Syrian Golan and Palestine.
Sabbagh reiterated Syria’s firm support for the Palestinian people, hoping that the meeting will result in providing all possible means of support to strengthen their steadfastness, and come up with resolutions condemning the campaigns of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement imposed by the occupation on the Palestinians in an attempt to implement its malicious racist scheme.
He urged the OIC’s parliaments to intensify contacts with regional and international parliaments and with the international community as to assume their moral, legal and humanitarian responsibility to pressure the Israeli entity’s government to immediately stop its crimes against the people in Gaza Strip and to open the crossings to facilitate the entry of basic services, health aid and food to the strip.
