Sabbagh sends letters to the UN Secretary-General & international parliamentary blocs to condemn the Turkish regime’s crime of cutting off water from Hasakah city
Damascus (ST): People’s Assembly Speaker Hammoudeh Sabbagh has sent 48 letters on behalf of the People’s Assembly to the UN Secretary-General, heads of international parliamentary organizations, regional and Arab parliamentary assemblies, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, denouncing the heinous and continuing crime committed by the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries by cutting off drinking water from Hasakah governorate and its vicinity.
In his letters, Sabbagh called for putting pressure on the Turkish regime to stop its crime against the safe population. He called for the necessity of exerting all forms of pressure on the occupying Turkish regime to immediately stop these heinous crimes and deliver drinking water immediately to more than a million Syrian citizens in the city of Hasakah and its vicinity.
