Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh on Thursday in Tehran met with Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Council (Shoura Council) Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Talks focused on ways to enhance parliamentary relations.
Sabbagh stressed noted the increasing importance of parliamentary diplomacy, due to the important role that can be played by members of Parliaments in different issues.
Sabbagh affirmed the importance of the popular marches that have taken place in many countries of the world to denounce the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the countries of the region. He explained that these moves help put pressure on the world public opinion against the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli entity.
For his part, Ghalibaf stressed that that parliamentary cooperation is a good opportunities to develop the bilateral relations between the two countries
