Sabbagh affirms the strength of Syrian-Iranian relations

Parliament Speaker Hammouda Al-Sabbagh affirmed the strength and durability of the historical relations between Syria and Iran, which have developed in all fields.

He made the remarks during his meeting with the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus, Dr. Mahdi Subhani on ending his duties as Ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic.

Sabbagh stressed the importance of continuing to work at all levels to develop relations between the two countries, especially in the parliamentary sphere, in order to serve the peoples of the two countries and their just causes, highlighting Ambassador Subhani’s efforts throughout his job in Syria to serve these relations and issues in the interest of both sides.

Sabbagh pointed out that the repeated attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation entity on Syrian territory are desperate attempts to subjugate Syria and Iran, stressing that these attacks increase the steadfastness and resistance of the Syrians.

Ambassador Subhani stated that relations with Syria are moving towards a prosperous future, calling for continued work to increase the prospects of cooperation in various areas and to develop them in order to achieve a better, safer and more stable life for the two friendly peoples, explaining the important role of diplomacy in strengthening relations between States.
