Russian Tu-22m3 Bombers Strike Daesh

According to Defense Ministry, Russian bombers destroyed 6 big depots, 2 tanks, 4 infantry combat vehicles and 2 command posts of Daesh in Syria.

MOSCOW – Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement  that six Russian Tu-22M3 bombers carried out airstrikes on Daesh positions near the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zour on Sunday, the Russian Sputnik News reported.

On August 14, 2016, six long-range bombers Tu-22M3 took off from an airport of location at the territory of the Russian Federation, carried out a concentrated airstrike with high-explosive fragmentation weapons on the facilities of the Daesh terror group southwest, east and northeast of the city of Deir ez-Zor,” the statement said.

 

The statement also said that the airstrikes destroyed two command posts, six big ammunition depots, two tanks and four infantry combat vehicles, seven all-terrain vehicles with heavy guns, as well as killed many terrorists.

The bombers successfully returned to the airport of location in Russia after fulfilling the tasks.
