DARAA, Oct.3, (ST)- Today, a Russian tourist group visited the archaeological city of Busra Al-Sham in Daraa with the aim of viewing its archaeological and cultural landmarks.
In a statement to a SANA reporter, art historian Galina Sokharavya expressed her happiness at visiting this archaeological city, which comes as part of a tour of Syria’s historical landmarks and cultural treasures.
Businessman Andrei Burkin confirmed that the amphitheater of the ancient city of Bosra depicts the artistic value of historical civilizations that have passed this region throughout the ages.
Architect Elena Pulkova considered that the ruins of Bosra represent the gateway to the East and the cradle of civilizations.
Engineer Olga Manova hoped that Syria would return to normal life, emerge from its crisis, and return to its normal position, noting that Syrian-Russian relations are based on mutual respect and sincere ties that bring together the Syrian and Russian peoples.
Noman Falouh, the accompanying guide, felt that the delegation was satisfied and happy to visit the archaeological sites of Bosra, considering that the increasing number of tourist delegations is evidence of recovery and a return to normal life.
Director of Daraa Tourism, Yasser Al-Saadi, stressed the necessity of concerted efforts and cooperation with the concerned authorities, to provide all facilities to make the visits of tourist delegations an optimal success.
