Russian–Swiss talks to resolve the crisis in Syria

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin has discussed with Switzerland’s Ambassador to Moscow Yves Rossier the efforts being exerted to resolve the crisis in Syria in the light of tightening the unilateral sanctions on Syria.   
 
A Statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday said: During the meeting, the two sides exchanged viewpoints about resolving the crisis in Syria and they focused on the need for delivering humanitarian aid without any obstacles in light of the increased unilateral coercive measures imposed against the people of Syria.”
 
The two sides also talked about the necessity of facilitating the political process between the Syrians themselves with the help of the United Nations in accordance with the UN resolution No.2254.
