Moscow, ST) – Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin demanded that former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former French President Francois Hollande be subject to an international military trial after the confessions they made regarding the Minsk agreements.
TASS quoted Volodin as saying on Telegram on Wednesday that the recognition of the head of the Ukrainian Security Council that the Kiev regime was preparing for war with Russia, in addition to Merkel and Hollande’s admissions that the Minsk agreement was a way to give Kiev time for militarization, confirms once again the seriousness of the security threat that existed not only for residents of Donbass, but for citizens of Russia. He demanded that these confessions be used as evidence in the international military tribunal that should be established.
Volodin added that the aforementioned leaders were planning to launch a global war, with predictable consequences, and they deserve to be punished for their crimes. He stressed that the decision to start the Russian special military operation in Ukraine prevented a catastrophe and the death of a large number of people.
Last month, Merkel described the signing of the Minsk agreements as an attempt to give Ukraine time to become stronger, while Hollande confirmed the validity of Merkel’s statements, indicating that these agreements were necessary to give Kiev a break and ensure the preparation of the Ukrainian army for a new conflict.
