Russian source: About 90 Turkish-made (Bayraktar) drones have been shot down since the start of the military operation to protect Donbas
Moscow (ST): A Russian source revealed that the Russian air defense systems managed, since the beginning of the special military operation to protect Donbas, to destroy about 90 Turkish-made Bayraktar drones, indicating that this number does not include the planes that were destroyed on the ground with high-precision winged missiles.
The source told RIA Novosti that Bayraktar’s unmanned aerial vehicles are among the easy targets for Russian anti-aircraft missile systems such as Tor-M2, Pantsir and Buk M3 due to their relatively large size, low speed and poor maneuverability.
The source pointed out that these Turkish drones operate with a single-channel vision and navigation system and can attack only one target at a time, which greatly reduces their ability to withstand, and thus the probability of being shot down when repeating the attack becomes 100 percent.
