Russian security thwarts an ISIS terrorist attack in Crimea

The Russian Federal Security Service announced that it had thwarted an attack that a supporter of the terrorist organization ISIS was preparing to carry out in the city of Imferopol in the Republic of Crimea.

The authority said in a statement today that it had arrested a Russian citizen, a supporter of the terrorist organization ISIS, who was preparing to bomb the railways in Simferopol, under the directions of the Crimean extremist battalion, which is participating in hostilities against the Russian forces in Ukraine.

The authority indicated that it found two explosive devices with a total weight of 3 kilograms, two electric detonators, a schematic diagram for planting a bomb under a railway, extremist brochures, flag and propaganda leaflets of the Crimean terrorist battalion, in the detainee’s house.
