Russian security arrests a foreigner involved in financing terrorism in Syria

Moscow (ST): The Russian Federal Security Service announced the arrest of a foreign citizen in the Khabarovsk region in the Russian Far East, involved in financing the terrorist organization “Al-Nusra Front” in Syria.

The press office of the regional branch of the Federal Security Service in the Khabarovsk Territory indicated in a statement that the arrested person is a citizen of a Central Asian country and was transferring money to one of the groups affiliated with the organization (Jabhat al-Nusra), pointing out that 4 people were arrested, because they were aware of his activities and did not inform the Security agencies.

The Russian security continues its operations to pursue elements linked to terrorist organizations, as it announced late last month the arrest of an ISIS member who was planning to carry out a terrorist attack in the Stavropol region of the North Caucasus.
