Russian researcher: Washington’s aggressive policy towards Syria contradict International laws

Moscow,(ST)- Senior researcher at the Center of Arab and Islamic Studies in the Russian Orientalism Institute Boris Dolgov stressed that the hostile policy of the US and its Western allies towards Syria contradicts with the International laws and norms.
In a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Moscow on Thursday, Dolgov said that the US and its allies are trying to attack the Syrian government through fabricating false allegations on using chemical weapons.
He indicated that the Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) report on Syria is based on statements by representatives of the terrorist organizations.
He pointed out that Washington’s policy contradicts with the principles of democracy and humanity.
Dolgov indicated that the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by Washington and some western countries on the Syrian people hinder securing the medicines and medical supplies that Syria needs to fight the spread of Coronavirus, while the European Union declares the necessity of helping the countries in need, but it does not adopt any practical actions in this regard.
