Russian professor: upcoming Syrian elections complement Syria’s achievements in building process
MOSCOW, (ST)_Russian Professor Konstantin Troyevtsev has said the upcoming Syrian presidential elections to be held on the 26th of May complement the achievements that Syria made in the process of building and development.
Speaking to the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency (SANA) in Moscow, the professor, who works in the Center of Arabic and Islamic Studies in the Russian Institute of Oriental Studies, pointed out the Syrian presidential elections come within the framework of implementing what is being said in the constitution.
Troyevtsev asserted that the acts of western countries, mainly the United States, aim at undermining the legitimate authorities of the countries that refuse submission to the west’ plans.
People support their leaders, who have been elected legally, in honest and free elections,” he concluded.
