Russian Parliamentarian: The American Presence in Syria is Illegitimate and must be Ended

Moscow (ST) – First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Konstantin Zatulin, affirmed that the presence of the American forces in Syria is illegal and should be ended. He demanded an end to the American forces’ looting of Syria’s natural and oil resources.

Zatulin said in a statement to SANA reporter in Moscow today: “Everyone is aware of the seriousness of foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs especially that the US is the one that created the crises in many countries of the world under the pretext of fighting terrorism to continue imposing its hegemony on the world.”

He stressed that Syria has begun to recover gradually with the help of its friends and allies, primarily Russia and Iran.

Zatulin described the illegal unilateral sanctions applied by the US and its partners against Syria, Russia and Iran as unfair and affecting and harming the lives of people.
